The Solid Wood & Furniture Company uses solid Australian hardwoods, both new and recycled, to craft quality timber furniture and art works for indoor and outdoor use. Each piece of custom made furniture is designed in collaboration with the client, as a unique “piece of art”, crafted to suit individual needs by the artisans hand.
All the materials used by the Solid Wood & Furniture Company are of high quality. We use real materials: stone, timber, iron, copper…….nothing plastic!
Strong handmade dining tables, kitchen island benches, slab tables, bookshelves are all made to last.
The client's wishes are paramount in the design of bespoke furniture and art pieces. Functionality is a major component of the finished product and each piece needs to meet its day to day requirements for its new family.
All the custom made pieces that leave the workshop of The Solid Wood & Furniture Company, must have “awe-inspiring” qualities. Friends and visitors will just want to touch your new dining table or kitchen bench.
Commissioned sculptures, art pieces and lamps are created from recycled and reclaimed timber and metals.
While being based in Newcastle, work in Sydney, the Hunter Valley and other areas is done at competitive rates.
Reclaimed, recycled and local timber, is used wherever possible, for rustic and contemporary pieces.
