Mark's pieces are as individual as the people who commission them. The designs seek to maintain a rawness and strength of character that comes from within the timber and metal. Grain and colour are drawn forward to expose the beauty of each piece. Old pieces of timber are reused, bringing some of their history forward into the new works.
When using new timber even after drying, it will change and move as it is sawn, planed and stresses imposed and removed. Furniture and antique repairs can also be carried out.
